It just seems like every day news stations report the same topics. I can understand if there are big headlines, but still. Lunch time news, 5pm news, 10pm news. The same topics repeatedly. Even the local news as well. What happened to the old days with reporters hunting down a "new" story to report on? Government involved too much on what can be reported? What do you think?

i am buying a pellet/air rifle soon. i was thinking on getting the crosman storm xt its .177 cal..but wasnt sure if thats the gun for hunting pest and targets if not let me know..but lets get to the real Question..which caliber is more powerful..a .177 cal or a .22 cal..i need to know cause i will be hunting anywhere from birds to groundhogs(squrrels and rabitts too) thanks for the answer..the person who supplies a picture of another air gun i should get and tell me what ammo i should get and what cal. of a gun to buy completely will get best answer..i would like a "longer" explanation

I am deciding on which of these rifles to purchase:

Remington SPS Varmint
- I like this rifle because of its stock and barrel length, but what i don’t like about it is that the barrel is not free floating, does not have a detachable magazine and i have read some reviews which say that remington has had some “bad apples” come out of the production line.

Tikka T3 Super Varmint
-i also like this rifle because of the stock, but i also hear it has a very smooth bolt action. It has a Picatinny rail for mounts, adjustable cheek piece, free floating barrel and it has a detachable magazine. But what i like most of this rifle, is that tikka makes sure that every rifle that leaves there factory has to shoot 1 MOA. The only thing which i do not like, is that it is foreign. Not that i hat them or anything, its just that i would like to support american factories.

I will be using the rifle for varmint hunting (coyotes, rabbits, squirrels,etc) and target shooting.

What are some of the counties that are the best for varmint hunting. (Mainly wild hogs and coyotes)?

Ok, I am in the lower peninsula of Michigan, and I would be hunting big game(deer, bear) and MAYBE some birds.I would like a dog to be great at hunting but also a very nice dog(to me). Which is the best hunting dog for me and the terrain im on.

There are so many reasons why this would be a good idea. I have heard that seal meat is very tasty, it helps their population, and you get to hit them on the head!

Does anyone know if they have guides that can bring you out there? I sure ain't driving a boat in that ice!! Please give me some advice, this sounds like a good Spring vacation next year.

I love to hunt coyotes year around, in Ohio there are no bag limits, open season is year round and you can even hunt them over bait or at night. It's awesome, such a rush to see a group come into a call and drive 3 or 4 at once!!! I also hunt deer, turkey, squirrel, fox, duck and have been known to nail a groundhog or two when the chance arrives. Also I hate PETA and anti-gun freaks that want to take my rights away. The NRA is so big PETA and anti-gun groups will never stop gun-owners and hunters. Plus all they do is complain and cry but they never do anything for the environment like conservation, planting food plots for animals or river-cleanups like most sportsmen do. So how many here hate hunting and gun owners. And if you do why do you come into the hunting section and try and "educate" us and stop us from hunting. I figure for every anti-hunting PETA freak that comes into the hunting section and trolls I will do the same here..

I live in Charlotte, NC and there are coyotes at my creek. I wanted to know how to identify their den, tracks, droppings and howls. Please tell me. Also how can I lure them from their den.

my lab is a very mushy dog its not agressive at all. It dosent bite or growl it loves attention. But whenever it gets hold of a groundhog it kills it is that normal for a dog. I mean ik labs are hunting dogs but im tired of having dead groundhogs in my backyard

I know that there are a ton of coyotes where Im going to go hunting, but I don't know what they eat. I have seen bird hunters in the foothills where Im going. And also i have seen allot of deer in the area. Which calls will be best? Will a mateing call work since it is Feb?

Where can you go ground squirrel hunting in California?

On the U.S evening news this week they featured a story about reducing the population of American gray squirrels overtaking the natural habitat of the English red squirrel. The hunters were using suppressors on their 22's! Surprised me, in good ole England, they can use silencers for hunting? Or was this a "special" hunt? Can anyone fill me in on the rest of the story?

I am getting a coyote, siberian husky puppy in a few days and I heard you can't give a hybrid a rabies shot because they will contract the disease. Is there any truth to this? I called the vet and she said she wouldnt recommend it but wasnt sure the puppy would actually get it. Any help?

45yr old bow hunter seeking permission to hunt, nuance ,urban for groundhog,deer, coyoat

Tyler made a great shot on this coyote after a little mouth calling got the male coyote in range. He was holding up at about 200 yards but some lip squeaking got Wiley in to about 130 yards. Tyler made a great shot with his CVA Muzzleloader and was excited when he realized that he actually hit the coyote instead of missing like he first thought. We still dont know what Tyler means by “I didn’t hear it hit him where I shot…”
