I have a Marlin 882 22 magnum. I’ve heard of ballistic tip rounds for other calibers but what about my .22 for varmint hunting and small game. Thanks

I’m just looking for a hunting rifle with extremely flat trajectory for shooting predators, caliber isnt as much as an issue more of the trajectory and ballistics of the bullet. But obviously caliber has an affect but please let me know your opinions of a very good predator hunting rifle, Thank you very much.
woodchuck hunting with my nephew Joe. can see the shockwave of the bullet in many of these (slowed down the action )
Im getting a new gun to hunt coyotes with and shoot groundhogs or prairie dogs now and then. I wont be taking super long shots but occasionally i might take a 300 yard shot. I know that the 22-250 rem is an incredible cartridge and i know all about it. But i was also wanted to try the 204. ruger cause i heard such great things about it.
Now if i was going to get the 204. ruger, i want it in a browning a-bolt but browning doesn’t sell 204. rugers. I have seen one in this caliber before, how can i get one like it?
I was wondering if over in Africa there are any varmint hunts available. I have been prairie dog hunting here in Texas and its some of the most fun I have ever had. I was just wondering if there are any varmint hunts in africa where the fun is comparable to that of a prairie dog hunt.
Through a great answer from Bound’s hubby, I was able to decide on the AR-15 as a platform for long-range target shooting.
Now I face a problem, I live in California. I have been trying to search through the laws regarding this type of weapon. The government sites state that they are banned as assault rifles. Other sites say that small mods like fixed mags and modified grips will negate assault rifle status.
Anyone have first hand experience with AR laws in CA?
Also, I saw at the Fulton Armory site a 22LR rimfire upper for varmint hunting. Count I possibly purchase that since it says its rimfire status does not make it an assault rifle?
If I do purchase it, can I change it to a standard centerfire upper when I can afford it? All I really know is that one selling point of the AR line is modular design and interchangeability of parts.
Thanks in advance for any help on the matter. I’m eager to get started and have read that wait periods can be in excess of three weeks.
Especially in the UK.

i have a gamo whisper pellet rifle. ive sighted it in at about 30-40ft but when i go to shoot a varmint at about 40yards it wont hit its target. also i use the polymer tipped hunting pellets, i love them. but i was wondering if there is any better pellet u an get that will really knock a squirrel down at about 50yards. thank you very much!
its .177 al
im also useing high power scope
? Because I am looking for a quiet yet powerful 22. For varmint hunting and target practicing. And this one caught my eye, If any has any other suggestions on a better 22 please confront me, thanks.
A good Sword or blade can decapitate a horse or cow in a single strike, and a spear has range and is long enough to go through a large animal’s heart or skull. Tough Predators like Lions have claws and teeth, which is no match for an angry bull or elephant. There is no way a lion can beat those animals unless they are hunting in packs, or if the other animal was severly injured.
With a Rifle, no competition. A Bear needs to get close and personal with a moose, even then it takes minutes for the fight to end. With a Rifle, one shot and the animal is dead instantly.
Right now i have a 30-30 marlin 30 AS, 22LR Mossberg, 12 gauge single shot (not sure on the manufacture it was a gift), 30-06 Remington model 742 woodsmaster, and a 7mm rem mag Remington model 700 BDL. The 30-06, the chamber wont close properly. So im looking for a new 30-06 and i was thinking of either getting the Sako A7, Tikka T3 Laminate Stainless, Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker or maybe the Sako 85 Finnlight. I would want the finnlight but its really expensive. What do you suggest?
as you can see i don’t have a varmint load and i love coyote hunting so im debating between a 22-250 or a 243. win. They both shoot about the same, fast and flat. The 243. win would give me a chance to grow to hunt whitetail. So what do you think. I was looking at either the Sako A7 or the Tikka T3 laminate if i dont get one of those models in the 30-06
I need the correct answer for why is the pitcher plant an endangered species
i need a short specific answer
is it because of humans destroying its habitat?
I had done some studying on coyote hunting and its strategies. Now I think that I’m ready to head afield, I read several reports on Minnesota coyote population; it stated that most of the coyote population were in the southern part of the state, but I just can’t narrow it down to a good spot to call and hunt them.
Hey,
I’m looking for a quality air rifle for a friend, and I want to know what you recommend. It would be used mainly for target practice, but occasionally for varmint hunting. Modest price range of 0-200
Thanks
In my last question I asked about the difference between the 3 common .22 bullets.
Me and my boyfriend were talking about a good gun for me to get and he said that a .22 or a .223 would be a good choice. He has a .22 pistol and a .22 lever action and the leaver action can shoot all 3 types of .22 bullets.
I don’t know much about .22 rifles. I’d be getting the gun for varmint control/some hunting (rabbits, squirrels, armadillos, etc..) and just shooting.
I like bolt actions and I like the way a leaver action looks too, but I’ve never shot one… yet.
I have about 5 from graduation money and I don’t need a very expensive gun.. doesn’t really need a scope.. peep sights would be alright with me too. I prefer a wooden stock over synthetic too. Help?
What would be a good gun or some good guns to look into getting?
I am 18, so there’s no need to freak out lol
Also, would a pawn shop be a good place to get one?
This is my dad’s, was my grandpa’s gun (the one that I was talking about in my previous question).
A gun like this would be fine with me.
