Predator Hunting calls Archives

What is the best set up for coyotes/bobcats? How long to call? Decoys? What brings em in best?

i really want something that will get good range as i hunt in the open desert of New Mexico. also i need good sound quality for under 0. any suggestions?

What are your thoughts on shooting feral cats?, is it legal where you live?, do you think predator calls would bring cats in?thanks
don’t get me wrong here, I like cats, I just like watching them explode a lot better, lol.

i wanna do some predator hunting like fox, (red or gray), coyote or raccoon. i downloaded animal distress call from a website. and i think loaded them onto an old mp3 player and i gonna put them on repeat and have them play through a speaker. i wanna put the speaker in a small clearing in some woods around my house. and i plan on making a blind on the ground by a tree and then going out to woods at night putting the calls out and sitting there for a while and wait for something to come in.

also what about lighting will light scare away a furbearer. i was just wondering i heard they use a red spotlight will one of those hatlights work mine has a red color on it. and do you keep the light on all the time. and how often do raccoons come in to your calls. i heard that raccoons come in calls in great numbers.

I have 400 acres in Fairfield, SC. And it is LOADED with coyotes. I mean everywhere you look there are tracks going back and forth. I have shot three within five minutes one day while i was deer hunting. I wanted to start getting into predator calling but our property has like no big open fields. We have 2 or 3 small 1/2 acre fields but thats it. Can someone tell me how i should try to call them in? Thanks

Me and 3 of my hunting buddies are going coyote hunting soon. If we call in some other predator than a coyote. what can we do (besides stop calling) to keep it from coming in closer to us. We don’t want to put ourselves in a situation were shooting it is our only option.

i have a Remington R-15 VTR with a Nikon 3-9×40 BDC and a prone/sitting bipod a Benelli supernova 12ga. with 00 buckshot and a pimos e-predator call and a primos mouse squeeze and a knight&hale quick pred mouth call and total realtree camo.

I’m looking for some instructions on ways to make lanyards out of parachute cord to hang my duck/predator calls on when i go hunting.

I've been a deer and rabbit hunter for most of my slightly young life. I was reading in Outdoor Life a bit about predator calling and hunting, and would love to give it a try. I live in Michigan, but I hunt mostly in Southern Indiana. Anybody out there with some experience have solid advice on how to get started and where/how to hunt? In my experience, shared knowledge is the best way to learn how to hunt, rather than trying to "do it by the books."

Thanks guys.

Please, please don't quote an article to me…I read them too.
