Suggestions for night time hunting optics?
Does anyone have any experience with affordable rifle scopes for night time varmint hunting? What’s a good website to compare some different models? Thanx.
How about generation 1 N.V.? Infrared rifle scopes or simillar?

I am an Alaskan hunter, trapper, and former military long range competition shooter. I do allot of varmint hunting at dawn, dusk, and my moon light.
Go to http://www.midwayusa.com and take a peek at the MIllet tactical scopes. I just picked up a nice 4.5-14 with side focus that has an adjustable intensity illuminated rectile for just over $300. It has a special setting for use with NV goggles - and - I find this setting particularly helpful at night. It igves just a faint green outline to the crosshairs and does not bother your eye’s natural ability to see better at night after bing the dark over 20 minutes.
You will not be disapointed with this scope.

Belkin Company has a Sniper/Style scope with Adjustable red Reticles inside the scope for illumination, and the higher end you can use ambiant light to use as "night vision" with the red Reticle which I use on one of my rifles. The beauty is you can adjust the red reticle sniper part of the scope for illumination, and the ambiant light conditions as it gets dark and or gets dark. Check into it.
Belkin is the Company Name, and they make great and affordable scopes.

I don’t have the kind of money for all the first 3 answers, as I begin typing.
Fortunately, a cheapie BSA red dot sight works on everything I can see in the moonlight.
