 I&#39;m not partial to either although I own a Savage. A Tika is a very finely made import from Finland, and they do make fine rifles. However, by your description, parts availability leads the American Made Savage. This is probably going to be an only rifle for everything so, I&#39;d go with the Stevens. You can afford to carry it around and not fuss over it. A Tika is fine if you prefer to go to Gander Mountain and no telling how long repair would take although, I don&#39;t really think a Tika T3 breaks down much- they are good stuff.
